      at 6:15  how can you add the loop cut on the top face screw troughout the mesh if you have already separated vertices with the V?

        Alex, I think that Jonathan did not separate those elements/edges by using V in the end. He is doing it one or two lessons ahead.
        Or I am missing something here because CTRL+R do not go through separated edges, just tired it to make sure.
