Loop Cut Issue

He adds a loop cut around the timestamp, and it doesn’t seem to warp too much, mine warps a little.
But when he moves clearly something is very very wrong, the issue here is he’s able to move it at all XD

When my edge moves:

And thats the max 100% it allows me to move it, he’s able to move his normally, and I know there’s vertex weight involved.
But he’s able to so easily move his still, then when he removes those from the vertex group hardly anything happens
But when I remove it doesn’t get better:

In fact it seems to make it worse.
I never had a loop cut deform geometry like this before and idk how to fix this.

Before I click the loop cut into slide mode it looks flawless!

I might of found the issue.
We moved the inner sides in to match the reference some more.
But i had edit mode view on hiding what looks like a sign i slid the edge in the wrong direction:
