Yes, you can now just link in a collection instead of the old group method. So when you go to “Link” if you navigate the blender file where you have the lamp, just go into the “Collections” folder and select your lamp collection from there. Be aware that anything you have on that collection will be brought over and be linked, so be sure it’s just the lamp in there. After that, you can duplicate your linked lamp collection and use them individually.
