“You see I’m tweaking all of these things a million times and I don’t expect you to touch all vertices I touch, but here’s what I’m looking for, and why I’m doing it”.
I tried learning 3D in Blender about a year ago. Watched a whole bunch of videos, felt comfortable with the interface but couldn’t do anything on my own. I can’t learn by copying clicks, I learn by understanding the whys. I got frustrated and went back to my 2D comfort zone.
I have an opportunity to soon play with it at work once again and decided to give it another whirl, and have been a CGCookie member for a whopping 2 weeks. I have done 3 or 4 of the courses only, but these moments where you guys take a step back to teach us why, and not just follow my clicks, made me already learn more than on my first time around. I’m just starting at the fundamentals but can already tell what is the difference of this community, and just thought I’d give you all some kudos. It’ll likely happen again. Thank you!
