i’ve followed the instructions of the tutorial but with the ICO SPHERE there’s a different result , there are only strange lines and the structure remain the same ; maybe it’s a problem of the Computer tha is too slow ?

it works only if i select one face , if i selct more that’s the result

Your screen capture doesn’t show the menu bar under the view port. Are you in face select mode? It looks like you are in vertex select mode and are extruding only verticies.

It is also possible that you did an extrude vertices, hit escape creating separate vertices and then did the extrude region on that. You might try deleting the icosphere and creating a fresh one.

Now it works , i don’t know why , probably i hadn’t made the whole selection
