Hi. I tried to extrude two opposite faces so I could make sure that they are equally distanced. But instead of running along the normal direction, it got fixated to the global z-axis. What could be the culprits to such behaviour except for my obvious stupidity? 😉

Hmm, it sounds like that’s just a regular extrude, which is trying to average the normal of the faces going in opposite directions. Does this also happen when you do Extrude Individual Faces in the right click menu or with the Extrude Individual tool in the toolbar?

I’ve used the toolbar at the left sight. I guess I found the culprit. I had the “Transform Pivot Point” not set to “Individual Origins”

Interesting, for me it seems to work with any pivot point:

Weird. Seems that I messed some of the settings off then. When I start a fresh file it works like yours. *thinking face*
