I’m working on a project that involves drilling a screw into a metal roofing panel. I was thinking dynamic paint can help “dent” the metal around the screw head as it tightens. So far I have had no luck..any tips?

Are you drilling a lot of screws or just a few? If it’s not many, then it may be easier to just animate shape keys when it needs to dent. But if it’s a lot, you could set the dynamic paint canvas surface type to displace. Just make sure there are enough vertices in that area for it to make a difference.
