      In the tutorial when we are trying to rotate the lid to align with the rest of the chest, in the Rotation section of the Transform panel there is a number in the X axis field, but the Y and Z fields are at zero.

      In my file when I select just the metal of the lid, the fields look like the tutorial and when I follow the commands in the tutorial the metal part of the lid rotates correctly to align with the chest. However when I select both the metal of the lid and the wood of the lid there are numbers in all of the axis fields, and when I follow the commands in the tutorial the number changes in the Y field but not in X or Z, and the metal and wood lid go to the wrong angle. I’m not sure what I did to the wood part of the lid, but any advice would be appreciated!

        Hi @mutantbanana – Could you either A) provide a download link for your .blend file (via dropbox, google drive, or equivalent) for me to see what you’re describing or B) record a video/gif demonstrating the problem?

          Hi Kent, No problem. You should be able to download the .blend file from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16RCEPCYP94fLR9VjOhiQ9vZv5tK3VNCT/view?usp=sharing

          Thanks so much for your help!

              @mutantbanana hi!

              The numbers in the Transform panel are for the Active Object, so if you have more than one Object selected you can get unexpected results.

              Select the entire lid and rotate it back in closed position (R X).

              Then select the wooden parts only and clear the rotation (CTRL A > Clear Rotation).

              Now, if you select the entire lid, everything should rotate as expected.

              Just in case you need it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w3p2rhwmao0aak2/Treasure%20Chest%20Tutorial_fix.blend?dl=0

              Hope this helps;)
