I’m having a problem running the cloth simulation using Blender v2.77 I’ve applied the cloth modifier to a subdivided plane, and made a uv sphere and ground plane collision objects. When I press play the animation runs but the cloth plane doesn’t move. I’m sure its something elementary that I’m doing wrong but its driving me nuts! Help please. I could forward you a file of the scene if that helps.

Is the modifier disabled by any chance? Did you try adjusting a value to see if the cache would update (i.e. change the Steps)? If not, maybe try 2.78. I just did it in 2.78 with no problems.
