I HATE THE ARRAY modifier

It is one of the most annoying and difficult to use modifier. when ever I try to use object offset it is like

Oh yes shanr is here time to play tricks on him 

and the modifier each array smaller until 0.1 cetimeters or it will grow bigger until it is like7392714 meters

Is this a bug?

haha I remember that feeling. I’m pretty sure it is because the object being arrayed or the offset object doesn’t have its transforms applied.

CTRL + A and select All Transforms.

Unfortunately that is not Correct

Are you using a relative offset or an object offset?

@shanr I think @phoenix4690 is absolutely correct; as far as I know the only reason that arrayed objects change size is when using Object Offset and the Scale is not 1 on either the object or the offset object:

You had the origin of the treads positioned at (0, 0, 0). That should be at the position of the Empty (I did that for you). Furthermore, you still had Relative Offset enabled (together with Object Offset..) I switched that off.
