I create a valley in my object using the strip tool. Then I narrow my valley using inflate.

Does anyone know if the vertices on either side of the valley join if the valley walls are inflated so much that they touch?

If you’re using Dyntopo and “Subdivide Collapse” the vertices will merge as they approach one another. If you use “Subdivide Edges” they will not collapse.
