      Hi,

fyi, I’ve changed the keymap from ‘Numpad 5‘ to ‘5‘ (because I use a laptop which don’t have a numpad)

then, I cant’ change the View Persp/Ortho in Object Mode. BUT, in Edit Mode, I can change the view.

is this a bug or something?

      Thank You!

        Hey Dim,

Sounds like you only changed the keymap for Blender’s edit mode. Blender’s hotkey system is kinda goofy, in that each context/mode has a different set of hotkeys that you’ll have to update.

Perhaps instead of using a custom keymap, you could try the “Emulate Numpad” feature in Preferences > Input > Keyboard (see the image below). This feature is intended to remap the numpad hotkeys to the number row automatically, so you don’t have to worry about any messy keymaps. You may have to reset your keymap back to the default for this to work though.

        Cheers!

          Hi Grant,

oh, I see ‘Emulate Numpad’. Alright, I will reset my custom keymap to the default

          Thank you for the response!
