      the edge loop doesn’t cut until the end … is there any option that control the length ?

        (Not sure if useful after 2 years)

        This happens when there are faces with other than 4 vertices somewhere. For me, with the cutting I did, I ended up with 5-verticed-faces. Selecting one and dissolving that, or merging two points solved the issue.
