How to separate parts of an object correctly?

Hi, Kent! Thank you for the courses where I get all my experience. But now I have a problem with painting Wrangler’s sculpture in Blender 2.8. This sculpture is monolithic, so I get artifacts as a result. When I try separate parts of sculpture manually, borders of parts are jagged. How can I complete this task? I thought the right decision is separate part then use solidify

Hey, @theluthier Kent! I’ve solved the problem the way I thought I would. Nothing complicated. I came up with this idea during another running. I selected an area in Edit mode, duplicate and separate it. Then applied solidify. It’s simple. It’s very simple. Thanks for the course!
