how do i make my dominoes settle or stay inactive before the scene goes off

at the moment i have all my dominoes set up in place just above the surface of my plane. however whenever i start the animation the first thing that happens is that the dominoes drop to meet the plane and then with that small amount of movement they all eventually fall over.

how do i make my dominoes still and stationary one frame one?

Hey, try placing them closer to the plane so that they don’t need to fall down to meet it. You could also try scaling up your scene if it’s really small since larger objects are more stable.

I tried scaling and changing starting position to closer to the plane. however it seems that what was needed was increasing he number of steps per second in the rigid body world to about 200 worked nicely.
