How can i run the Loopcut thru the ngone on the Top of the tank? He do not explain?

Loopcuts can’t go through n-gons (the Mesh Modeling Bootcamp covers these kinds of topics in-depth), but you can use the knife tool to make a cut.

late answer, but i think he didn’t have the loop go past the top. He just wanted to create a face.
