Hi Jonathan
As soon as I apply the layer with the mask and the grabbing movement the character still seems to walk i.e. the walking animation is shown but does not move forward anymore, so probably root transform is not applied anymore. Any idea why this happens?

It sounds like you might have the grabbing animation layer as the default layer. That animation wouldn’t move the player forward so that may be the reason why it’s doing that. Also make sure you applied the mask to the layer that has the grabbing animation.

Thanks for the quick answer. Layers are set correctly and the mask is applied but I checked the mask once more. It seems that I have to add the the ground floor circle and the two IK circles to the mask as well to make it work.
