Hi, First of All.. Awesome course!.. Thanks!

I have a question about a hair particle system I’m creating.

It should instanciate an object for each hair,
place it rotating randomly the z axis over the plain
be affected by force fields bending itself, like for example the wind blowing over grass.

Happens that when I use the Render – Group button in the particle system properties, i get to see all the instances place ok with a random rotation, but dynamics affects weird (scale instances instead of bend).

So I tried a different approach and added a Particle Instance Modifier to the object itself. This way the force fields bends the particles ok, But I couldn’t make the randomly rotate the positioning.

Is here the right place to ask?

What is the best way to achieve what I want?

Is there anywhere I can share a blend file for you guys to see this?

      Thanks!!!

      TR

Hey TR, I’m glad you found it helpful! That is probably better question for the community : http://community.cgcookie.com/
I can’t quite tell what you’re trying to do, so posting on the forum would allow for more discussion and screenshots. If you tag me by mentioning “@jonathan_l” in the post I’ll get a notification to come check it out.
