Hey Kent, this is the first time I’ve used dynamic topology (not the smartest decision, I know). Every time I try to use the snake hook tool to extrude the neck, the extrusion only goes for a short distance before running out of topology. Also, when I got something decent, my neck/chest didn’t smooth out like yours did when I used the inflate tool. As far as I can tell, I have all the settings identical to what you had in the video. Any tips on how to fix it or possibly an easier course to try before I attempt this?

I think the problem may be the Detail Size setting of Dyntopo. Back when I recorded this video 30px was the equivalent to 10px now. So I recommend setting the detail size to 10 and see if that behaves more similarly to this video.

Thanks, Kent. I literally just finished making Melvin, so I figured it had something to do with the detail size since my Melvin had much more detail than yours did. Thanks again, man. 🙂

Glad to hear you figured it out! Happy sculpting 🙂
