Help! i need ideas on how to achieve something!

I made my 3d model of bender and added some starter mats. what is the best way for me to get the mouth grid he has on here so i can do the line animations of his mouth grid.

I haven’t watched Futurama… but if it’s like what I’m thinking about, there’s probably several ways to do about it. One way would be to do something similar to what Wayne does with Luna’s face in the RIG course, where you’re just swapping out which shape you need. (Not the only way, and depending on the animation, might require more work, but for a simple still or simple animation, might be workable.)

I decided to move on from the mouth part till i get a better idea how. , i think its coming together!

Since it’s done with primitives( if I remember correctly) just add 2 toruses make them thin. That will be the 3 cross lines. Then use several cylinders for the up and down lines. Then use a black material. Later when you start working with editing meshes you will figure out the better solution of loop cuts and inset with multiple materials. You can also replace it with grease pencil when you get to that course. So many options.
