      I have a 1080 8gb in my mid-level machine… had to rebuild my High Bay as smoked the mother board after 67 years of usage…. oh well.. want to use the rebuild just for rendering …. is there any real advantage to upgrading it to a MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TI Gaming X Video Card “11GB” GDDR5X?

      any real rendering advantage? looking at these render farms too? looking for advise on where to invest and spend for a 3 year plan..

          I am not a card guru but I heard thr RTX cards have some nifty features like active cycles Denoising AI for the viewport. Worth looking into.

            I have a GTX card in my Lenovo laptop and it suits my needs for basic stuff. I haven’t pushed it to the limit thoug. I’m stil learning. I believe mine is 8GB.
