GIF(t) Challenge Part 1 (Christmas)- SnowGlobe-WIP

A fun thing to do during christmas time is shaking snow globes and watching the snow fall. No matter how hot it is outside, there is always snow in the snowglobe.

Children, Adults all ages love snow Globe.

So my Gif will be a snow globe with the snow falling.

After I was not able to finish the halloween challenge, because with 3 kids and the fall starting I spent some time with ill children at home and catching up with work in the real world.

Right now everybody is healthy and i have time to try the current challenge. 

Here is the current state of my snow globe. I will add a christmas tree and the snow man will get a santa hat.

Did you try adding a force like wind to make the snow swirl around a little.

You could animate the location checkbox to turn on and off the affect, so it initially swirls like a real snow globe then reduce to then have the falling snow.

It would take some time playing with the settings to get it right though.

Also you can start the particle system for the snow earlier, like -20, so when the animation starts at frame 1 the globe is already full of snow, avoiding the first few frames of no or very little snow.

I’m not suggesting you go back and change anything.

Just my thoughts.

I only added the particle system so far to see how it looks with snow and will fine tune it durnig the week so it looks more like a real snow globe.

The light also still has to be adjustet. But the modelling is almost done.
