filmic addon instill iisues

I tried to download filmic for for blender 2.79 on my mac I followed all the videos on how to download it but when I open blender it wont let me change the color management please help

Hey Jesse, filmic is already in Blender 2.79 by default so there’s no need to get the addon any more. You can find it under Color Management -> View.

Jonathan, while on the topic of filmic; At blender conference 2017 Bartek Skorupa mentioned the 2.79 addition of filmic was not accurately implemented to how Troy originally intended. He (Bartek) suggests  manually installing Filmic as one would do pre 2.79 and that would correct a config problem he describes in the talk.

I was wondering what’s your opinion on this if you have had the chance to see it?
