Ellipse Mask Not Rendering in Cycles

I want to render in cycles but all I get it the checkerboard transparent background. What do I need to do to make the ellipse mask show up in cycles. Eevee works fine. I have tried everything I can think of.

Sorry, I know you’re against them, but a screenshot of your Compositor with all the Nodes and Backdrop visible would really be helpful here.

I second that. You’re going to have to sit down with screenshoots and have a talk, hatch it out, make amends, be friends again. You can do it Daemeon, forgiveness is worth it.

No. I see. It’s just that cycles takes a long time to render and the vignette layer renders last and I wasn’t waiting long enough. It’s fine.

Thanks, Kent. the hard part was figuring out how to BUILD it. I take notes on tutorials, and whenever I do a tutorial, I immediately do another practice exercise of my own design so I can use my notes to do it and see if there were parts of the notes that weren’t written well enough for me to understand.

Awesome result with that crate scene man. Love it. And that’s a great way to learn and watch tutorials too. I also take my time and watch them twice. One for viewing as if it was a movie and I take it all in, then again to practice along.
