        I had some weird problems like that too. Just continue through the course. It shows you how to do color ramps with it. You can even add in a few math nodes if necessary.

        Also, did you already do the subdivisions on your mesh?

          Yup, I read the questions and answers too but wasn’t sure if I had the same issue, I suppose I won’t know unless I try.

            OK I altered some of the mesh and messed up the UV map so I have to do this again bear with.

              As Cookie Dough says, low contrast vert colors can be adjusted correctly with a color ramp node. I’d try that first and then decide if you need to fix the vert colors themselves.
