hi, I have noticed that where I have a square faces you have triangle, I know I could fix masnually, but is there something I might overheard in the video to get it right from the start? 

Also alt click does not work for me on the same version, I am using double click as alternative .

It’s better to have a square than a triangle, so you’re better of than the instructor. You can always watch the video again if you feel you missed something. Watching things twice also solidifies the knowledge much better.
