Crease vs. Proximity edge loops

I have this sinking feeling that this has already been asked in some form or another… oh well, I’ll try to keep this short and sweet.

When should you use a crease and when should you use a proximity edge loop? I notice they give very different results and most of the time a proximity loop is used instead for greater control. But which one when?

Hey Evan, I’d really only use creases for something that will be really far away and it’s not worth the extra polygons. For everything else I’d use edge loops.
