      Hi!
I finished the CG Cookie logo lesson and I thought to make an exercise to see if I grasped things correctly. I would like to have it checked, if possible!
I don’t know if the images are enough, or if I have to send the file itself

Yeah you can post images and wireframes or the model. And also if you want to you can post a link of the .blend file as well. Either is fine.

Here’s the link to the file in this case!

            Hi Muzan,

            The model looks great!

Your Normals are flipped (SHIFT+N to fix that), which doesn’t really matter in this case, but still.

The Plane is Z-fighting with the fairy, not visible from the camera view, but just movibg it back a touch would help.

Personally, I would have Beveled at least the inner edgeloop, instead of using a single holding edge:

That would also improve the transition of the materials.

But all in all, it’s really well done (and all quads as well!).

I didn’t think to check the normals’ direction as things were looking good, I’m taking note to check them anyway next time!
I tried the bevel instead of the edge loop as you suggested and I can see the difference between the two, with the bevel the result looks much better!
😀 Thank you for the feedback, it’s very helpful!

That is a very cool looking logo. I love the red and silver combination and all the interesting shapes and flows. Also excellent modeling, you didn’t waste geometry. I’d say the model is checked and passed with A++
