Could use some feedback on this Revolver.

I have just finished this revolver. Figuring out how to fix the baking artifacts took me longer than modeling it. I made it in the end though (I think).

Would really appreciate some feedback on this. Do you think it’s good enough for a portfolio? I really want to become a professional in this domain :).

It is very good; I could not immediately find anything wrong with it.

Looking good! I think that’s your best model yet 🙂 You could take this even further by adding more details to the texture if you want (finger prints, text stamps, more AA in the barrel, minor edge wear on the wood, etc…), but for now I think you’re ready to tackle a new project that will push your modeling skills even farther.

Do you think it’s good for a portfolio? I want to add small details too but I’m afraid it will look excessive. How do I make something look used without it being excessive? Asking because there might be small things that elude me that a more trained eye can spot.

@cyberdemon1542 I wouldn’t worry about it being excessive at first – if you do it on a separate layer you can always dial it down or mask out parts afterwards! It’s always better to go extreme and then backtrack then it is to timidly inch forward if that makes sense.
