Thanks Mr. Frank. Thank you Ingmar, I’m honored you’d consider watching it.

I made the effort to try and dedicate the entire saturday to working on the bridge, so I worked on it from 8am to 8pm that entire day and then sunday at least 3 hours. So maybe you’d guess 15 hours total, but no, since I was doing laundry in between and cooking and stuff and then when we got online on discord and we kinda joked around and goofed around a bunch. So I’d put the bridge total time at around 10.52 hours total.

@dostovel How did you align the stones so well? I looks so realistic!

Painstakingly hand placed one by one. The file is in Drive if you want to take a look at it.

Man I hope I can correct the looking realistic in the texture painting and baking sections. If I fail I hope the other bridges are coming along better.

I could definitely see Kent doing some kind of a fly through under the bridge in the final animation. Amazing work @dostovel

@dostovel – Omar, as you put the finishing touches on your bridge, please consider making a beauty shot of your model.  I’d love to post your artwork in the TSMF Blog.  Please let me know if you create a money shot.

Well sadly it wasn’t able to finish it fully the way I wanted. I feel it’s too stoney, too much gray. I’ll keep working on it though, adding other details, some dirt, a bit of moss. Also maybe trying to keep lowering the poly count, at 10 thousand faces I don’t know if it’s too dense.

@dostovel Looking good! The reflective quality of the stream adds to the realism and you achieved some fantastic stone textures too.

@dostovel – Omar, that is a thing of beauty.  I am using the first image for the blog.  Let me know if you would prefer a different image.

@dostovel It’s a stunner! Wow, you’ve got serious skills sir. I’m so impressed. I’m going to integrate it into the assembly during the stream today 🤩

@dostovel Maybe these notes here (please scroll down to the orange frame) about how I created the “Color Texture” of my chimneys could be helpful?
