CGC July Vehicle Challenge – Little Green Diesel

Here’s my WIP thread for the July Vehicle challenge. I am making a small 2 foot gauge industrial diesel. I am going for cute garden railway like feel. This engines were used in mines, paper mills, plantations and other very small railways

Here’s my first block out. The human armature gives scale. It is going to be a very small locomotive with barely enough room in the cab for a person

Continuing the block out today. Crammed the bare minimum controls in the cab, along with a transmission unit. I’ll start detailing it this week.

I like the basic block out, so for the rest of the week I am going to work on the first detail pass, starting with the cab. Here’s the pass on the throttle.

A bit more progress. This engine could have a lot of detail am going to have to keep myself from getting overwhelmed.

Today I worked on the hood and the engine block.

Now I am working on blocking out the engine compartment. I’m leaving the right engine door off to show all the details as is typical for these engines.
