CG Cookie Member access to download the video source?

Is it possible to arrange that CG Cookie members access to download the video source for this course and other similar YouTube hosted CG Cookie courses?

Hello Andy. You surely can download videos and course files as a member, I believe it’s possible with a month or yearly subscription. The Blender basics works a bit different being a free course and living in YouTube. The other guys might know for sure if they downloadable, but we can always ask Amber if it’s possible to set them to be downloadable.

Hi Andy,

Downloading the YT content of CGCookie is allowed and not restricted to members. 

But, there is no Download Button on YT, so you’d have to use a download tool. 

This one: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp  is really good and fast, but there are tons of other free downloaders out there.

Keep in mind, that not all content from YT can be downloaded legally, but you are absolutely safe with the free CGCookie content on YouTube.

Like Omar mentioned, the non-YT Content on CGCookie is downloadable for CGCookie Members.

Thanks, guys. OK, I will use a YT downloader for this course. I know YT downloads are allowed for most YT streams, I’m not sure the exact rule book and how one knows, YT content that is free tutorials seems safe. Most YT content I watch invariable includes other sources’ YT content and so those YTers must be downloading it and editing it to splice into their content, especially the news, opinion, and other content.

I like tutorials downloaded because of how much I have to scrub back and forth in them to complete them correctly.
