      For some reason the inset shape isn’t a perfect circle like the outline of the buttons

        Could you please provide some more information. One or more screenshots as well, if possible.

        (And are you in Top Orthographic View? Is your Scale Applied?)

          For example: Inset Circle, with Scale not Applied:

            Most likely the scale is not applied (1,1,1)

              Yeah, that’s my Doctor Blender diagnosis as well. Control + A to apply the scale. Take one of those and your inset will feel better instantly.
