Can’t submit exercise

Hey! I guess you changed the way we submit our exercises. I can’t submit my exercise anymore. In the past, we uploaded a link to the model. Now we need to enter our username. There’s a problem: the application from tells me “Nothing found. Add models to your Sketchfab Account and make sure they are published. Need an account? Sign up at Sketchfab.com“. I put the model on public, I tried writing my username all lowercase, I still get the same message.

PS: Some feedback on the new submission form: in my opinion, the old one was better. With that one I could keep my models on private. I want to put on public only my personal work, not my exercises as well. Is there any other way I can keep my exercise submissions private and still submit them here?

Hi Liviu, thanks for the feedback! What’s your Sketchfab username? I’ll test it on my end and try to see what’s going on. 

As for private models, that’s a good point. I could see why someone would not want to have a bunch of public exercises if they use their account like a portfolio. We’ll definitely take that into consideration as we move forward with the feature.

Thanks! I retried submitting just as you posted, and it worked. Maybe it just takes a little while for Sketchfab / CG Cookie to update and see the model. I’m not a back-end person, so I’m not sure how this works, but it might just be that I need to wait 10-20 minutes after I published the model to have CG Cookie see it.

Thanks for the help! Oh, and thanks for the awesome tutorials. Modelling a face had always been a daunting task for me.

@shegeek Could you try typing your username in all lowercase and without spaces? If that doesn’t help, please let me know what your Sketchfab username is and I can try to figure out what’s going on.

with the dot in-between. I have tried with and without dot and lower and uppercase and I am having no luck.
