Brand new and looking for community sites/channels

Hi all, 
Very new to 3D Production, very excited.

I want to really immerse myself in things, like I do when i’m into games.
For example, i’ll look at gaming news frequently or forums just seeing people discuss my favourite games.

Are there news or blog websites like this for 3D Production?
The CG Cookie youtube channel is great for the sort of stuff i’m looking for.

Hello Jake. I’m not sure. BlenderNation is one website everyone follows. Also Andrew Price has got a good thing going on when it comes to 3D news. He has a news letter with stuff he finds interesting in the 3D world. Ian Hubert should also be a good follow and Pierrick Picaut as well.

I don’t know if this falls into what you’re looking for but it is a community where people discuss changes to blender’s UI and features people would like to see. You can see people’s mockups and vote on the ones you like. The development team use this to see what people in the community want. For example the navigation gizmo was originally going to be across the top of the 3D viewport, but people suggested on the side and the vote led to it being down the right side.
