      Hi,

So during my modelling, suddenly I was not able anymore to select other objects in my scene, only the last one that I was modelling when it happened. What did I do wrong, maybe I triggered this by hitting some buttons without me noticing ?

The only way for me to select other objects is to get to object mode, select and go back to edit mode.

Also, I have a weird issue regarding the measurements given by blender. So as suggested I checked the length feature in the mesh display tab of the info panel, which gave me measurements, but when I started modelling doors, the measurements shown don’t make sense… the height of my door shown 2,1m, and when I added a loop cut to get the width, the length of a 72cm width was almost as long as the 2.1m height… very disturbing and it makes it hard to be very precise (doors have very known and common measurements).

      Thanks !

      Jy

Hey @jendives , I’m not quite sure about the first part:

The only way for me to select other objects is to get to object mode, select and go back to edit mode.

I could be misunderstanding, but isn’t that the way it usually works? I’ve never been able to select other objects while in edit mode.

For the scale thing, try applying the scale with Ctrl+A (as a side note, I’ve noticed that there’s a dimensions bug in 2.8 Alpha, but I’m assuming you’re using 2.79 here).
