Bevel weight not happening for me.

I’m working on an iMac with a wireless keyboard/wireless 10 key pad/wacom tablet and a newly purchased 3-button mouse.  I have found ways to make things work when they don’t go as described in the video, until the bevel weight  at this point:

The bevel isn’t showing at all.  Everything else looks right up to this point.  Suggestions?

One thing that can often work against you, when using Bevels is the Clamp Overlap. Make sure that is unchecked:

Thank you!  Another lesson learned, to check that because it may not stick from the original settings when in Object Mode.

Yes, Clamp Overlap is on by default and the Geometry ‘panel’ is collapsed by default, so it’s easy to forget about that.

Thank you, spikeyxxx! I noticed that setting Mean Bevel Weight for particular edges affected other beveled edges. Your answer solved the issues.
