bevel node having no effect

For some reason when I try out the bevel node on the cube, it’s having no effect on how the light is bouncing off the cube at all. no rounded edges. any idea what’s going on?

problem was that I was in material preview mode instead of rendered mode! can’t wait until I get a computer that’s faster on the render time so I don’t. have to be in MP mode to see things haha

You are using Material Preview Mode, which uses Eevee and Eevee doesn’t support the Bevel Node.
