      Hej everyone!

I’m changing the basic sword idea a bit, because I’ve been watching Vinland Saga lately and I’m really digging the saxon/norse/low medieval sword design! Hope that’s not a problem! Probably going to update it during today, but here’s the current result!

Hello, and welcome!  Good effort on the sword.  Looking forward to the final product!

@mecozucco Welcome to the class! Your sword is looking great so far.

Is it ready for grading? The only thing missing is an “officially” declared homework submission post like this one. When I grade I look specifically for the bold title at the top of the reply “Homework Submission Week 1“.

Alternatively you can update your thread’s description with this label above your final week 1 image, like this thread.

Either way I assume a student is still working until officially declaring the submission in one of these ways. So I’ll check back later to see if this is 100% final 🙂

@theluthier Hey thanks for the heads up, and for the patience! I’m not sure if I’m still on time but I just got out of work and I wanted to at least get some more thingies in before posting, so I’ll follow up this with the submission. Thanks again!

              Homework Submission Week 1

Ok, so the left one is the model straight from the 3D Viewport, and on the right one I tried to get some more contrast tweaking the values on photoshop.

@mecozucco Great job with the sword! The dings in the sword read well. Only small note would be that the two dings near the tip of the sword feel unnaturally close together for me. As if the same object & event cause the damage:

Either eliminating one of the dings or moving one further down the blade would fix that. Again it’s a small, nitpicky note. Overall it’s an A in my book. Keep up the good work!
