Thank you, can you check it out and possibly direct me on how to make the hinges? If you want we can get on discord 🙂

Hey Karen, about the gaps between window and frame:

you need to line up the vertices of the frame and window:

which you have at the bottom, but not at the sides. Should be something like this (simplified):

          I hope this makes sense.

I messed up my OS and lost the Discord, so I’ll have to re-connect somehow and thinking about how complicated that was last time…Can’t even remember how I got it working eventually…

Any way, It’s getting late here now…I’ll try and get Discord working again, tomorrow..That’ll be a lot easier to trouble shoot and help modelling…

Hinges shouldn’t be a problem; we’ll get those made tomorrow if you didn’t sort them out already by then;)

Thank you @spikeyxxx  I closed it for now. I’ve spent that last several days working on it. I’ll look for you tomorrow.

Hey @ketre I am out on Vacation all week and am able to check in a little bit here and there to help out.

Looks like @spikeyxxx has you back (thanks buddy). He’s quite the stud.

Hopefully I can lend a hand with a link for the hinges and how to demystify them: As far as the hinges are concerned there was a lecture video on creating some hinges on Kent’s course Creating a Wall of Mailboxes.

Creating Hinges – Part of Creating a Wall of Mailboxes Course

Hopefully that will help out a little.

@ketre RE: hinges – I will discuss my approach to the hinges during the stream next week

@ketre sorry, this took a bit longer than I expected. Had some problem understanding how these hinges worked and where they were connected, but I think I figured it out…(if this is not how it actually works, at least this way can work and it looks logical to me.):     https://youtu.be/xvMqieyKj-0

❤️❤️❤️ wow that makes so much sense Thank you so much for this video. I couldn’t see that the top and bottom was one. Kent said he was going to go over this in the next live stream. It will be interesting to see what he does also.

Awesome video @spikeyxxx! Initially I thought Karen’s question was more simply to do with the orientation of a hinge on a curved surface. But watching your video I realized I didn’t realize how the same hinge was used for the door and window individually.

You’re…so good at detecting this kind of thing 👏

@theluthier I didn’t realize the top and bottom were 1 door. I had them separate 😵 I’m waiting to see what you do on the livestream before I go making another mess 😝
