Array modifier?

It seems like array modifier is a more suitable tool to make this cylinder, isn’t it? Like, you need to make only one section out of 8 instead of making 2 of them, and you can make this section totally symmetrical with mirror modifier. Is there any benefit of using only the two-axis mirror modifier instead?

Sure, that works just as well! If you find that to be faster then it would be a better option.
