Are these kinds of products going to allow me to “texture” paint, not sculpt?

allow me to texture paint the brush textures?

You certainly can Texture Paint with them.

But…you will probably need very high resolution Images to get the details of those ‘Alphas’. Performance in Blender might be subpar. Texture Painting in Blender is unfortunately not very good (yet). Painting with large Size Brushes or on hi-res Images might be extremely laggy.

Conversely you can also sculpt with those, and use them as textures, and use them for materials, etc, if ever the need arises.

Id question what you want to do and why you think you need so many brushes. What do you actually want to paint/create? 

I’ve only texture painted one thing so far but I only needed one main brush, which I made myself, along with a few stencil textures which I also made myself from images I found online. 

I would save your money and have a go first to see how you get on. Don’t forget you can layer up your textures and combine them with other materials. 

What’s a must is a tablet. If you don’t have one of those then buy that before any brushes.

I would want so many brushes because I plan on modeling so many things Even just the skin of a human’s hand has like several different types of wrinkles, pores, creases and veins. But, a tablet isn’t a bad idea if I can find a good affordable one. In my experience texture painting, things come out either too blurry or too crisp, I think manually brushing something like 50 wrinkles is really inefficient if I can spend 5 minutes using an alpha pack.
