Yeah I’ve heard people complaining of how slow Eevee Next is. If you turn off raytracing you might get some movement back while you work. And I bet Eevee Next is new enough that all the kinks haven’t been ironed out yet, plus it still has to mature, etc. So I think you’re not alone, it’s not a Ricardo thing, it’s a Blender thing, it’s a whole world thing. That is why we need to donate to Blender so they can hire more coding wizards.
Now, if you are in normal viewport and you don’t have Eevee even on, there might be a problem. Try updating your operating system, updating video card drivers and re-download Blender. See if that helps.
