Hi guys, I’ve hit a brick wall. The alpha channel on my tree cards shows through as grey when I add the fog, and the deeper into the fog the darker the alpha gets. No problem without the fog. I cant for the life of me figure it out. I’ve tried adjusting just about everything, volume step and max, volume bounces, various light changes, tested other alpha cards, even reverted back to factory profile. Any suggestions gratefully accepted? I’m on 2.79.

@jankonopka Can you post a screenshot of the issue? Also if you could upload your .blend to dropbox, google drive or equivalent cloud storage service and post a download link, I can take a closer look at your settings.

          Hi Kent,

I’m attaching a sample image and link to file as requested. Thank you for taking the time to look at it. I suspect its staring me in the face.

I rebuilt the file in 2.8 and am still having the problem. Sorry for the delay, had trouble striping the file size down due to collections retaining fake users, nightmare.

I believe the issue is your transmission bounces need to be bumped way up – try from 12 to 128. I see you bumped up the transparency but transmission is part of transparency. Honestly I don’t know why they separated the two there… 🤔
