add mesh

Hi, when the instructor is adding a mesh it’s on scale. When I add it it’s huge, I first have to rescale it to the scale of the console. Anybody knows how to fix this? And also..when I want to type messages here, the video stops and starts when typing spacebar of enter, so I can’t actually type here (I typed in Word and paste it here)…

Hi Marcel,

When you Add a Plane (or any Mesh), the first time it comes in at a size of 2 meters. When you change the parameters in the ‘Adjust Last Operation’ panel (bottom left, or F9), the next time it will Add the Mesh with the parameters you last used. (Until you close Blender, then it ‘resets’ to the default.)

I have no idea, why the video reacts to Spacebar, when you’re typing in the text box…

I think that’s never been covered before, because it’s one of those things that is not a problem until it is. Most people don’t notice or don’t mind and just scale the mesh down when it comes at the default of 2 meters and it feels too big. Even the teachers in their videos they just do it without being mindful of that. So not a problem really, just an inconvenience. Good of you to notice Marcel. 🤙
