      Does it *have* to be like this? Or is it just left like this cos the rotation remains along the X and that’s all the matters?

        I’d guess, because now, if you Rotate around the X in for instance the positive direction, both Bones Rotate ‘the same’.

          Hi Charles,
          The bones ‘can’ be oriented any way  – but the most logical way is to have one of the axes line up with the world.  That way at least the X rotation matches.
          Having the Z facing backwards is ok too – but it does mean that the X rotation will be reversed (so the other way is better)

          I can see you have a question in another thread so I will elaborate over there.
