@thecabbagedetective Maybe try painting a greyscale map as a factor for mixing the colors.
Also, have you thought about removing fur from where the metal parts meet the skin? That kind of visual padding might improve the whole thing. Although, I think bears have very dark skin which might not work as visual padding 😀
