Hey, glad you’re enjoying the course! A pink texture indicates that there’s a missing or not loading texture, so somewhere in that material must be an image texture node with either nothing selected or a broken path. More on that in this lesson: Managing Texture Data – CG Cookie
I’m not sure how two objects would appear as different colors if they have the same material… that seems impossible. If the above doesn’t fix it then try going to File -> External Data -> Pack Resources, saving, and sending me the file to investigate.
