Ok thanks for the screenshot. Yeah I think you just need to lower your detail pixel size even further. The issue appears to be that there’s not enough geometry to facilitate the stroke.
Also give Brush Detail a try. That will align your dyntopo geometry resolution with your brush size: Larger brush = larger polygons, smaller brush = smaller polygons.
