@mtmorrow – The gizmo’s textures are “packed” into the .blend file, meaning they’re included. So when you go to add the texture it’s simply available in the drop-down instead of importing the texture file externally.
Can you confirm that the gizmo textures are available in the texture select list of the image texture node?
